Poder Ejecutivo:

For being a democratic republic its political system is divided in three powers:

Executive authority:

President of the Republic, chosen by means of direct suffrage, every four years, can be reelected after eight years. Two Vice-presidents. A Presidential Cabinet made up of 18 Ministers of State, who assume portfolios in the economic thing, the social thing, productive and the cultural thing.

To be able Legislative:

Integrated by 57 deputies (representing popular, responsible to dictate laws).

To be able Judicial:

The form one Supreme Court, that consists of four Rooms. Also, they integrate the Courts Superiors and Courts in each matter. According to it has the Political Constitution to them Costa Rica, the Supreme Court of Elections, regardless of the Powers of the Republic, is the one in charge of the organization, direction and monitoring of the electoral processes that are realised every four years.
