CIMA Hospital

The history of CIMA San José Hospital goes back to 1994 to that time had the idea by a group of prominent businessmen and Costa Rican doctors to meet the latent need specialized care in the health of older adults and discussed the possibility of build a private nursing home in the country.

Is sustained long after the thought of building a private hospital in Costa Rica, since this date in the country's only private clinics were available and only a comprehensive care. Thus was founded the Hospital Corporation San Jose.

During the period from 1995 to 1999 saw a great process for the construction of the hospital, which began with the issuance of the shares, until the inauguration in December 1999.

CIMA San Jose Hospital began operations in February 2000 but celebrates its anniversary every March 19 as this is the day of San José, and thus pay homage to the name and address of the Hospital.

Hospital CIMA San Jose has become the Centre of Medical Specialties largest American and as the reference center for major health tourism in the region.

CIMA offers first class specialists and technology to perform these procedures with high quality and safety standards at the height of the most renowned hospitals in the United States.

Proof of this is that in 2008 received the International Standards Accreditation of Hospital Quality, Patient Care and Organizational Management from the Joint Commission International.
